Since 1992, Diabolus in Musica explores the immensity of the medieval musical repetoire. Under the artistic direction of Nicolas Sansarlat since 2022, previously under the direction of Antoine Guerber during 30 years, the musicians never ceased to share and highlight with excellence the beauty of a majestic musical art, blooming and surprising.

With an affinity for the repertoire of the school of Notre Dame and the songs of the Trouvères, the vitality of the ensemble is nourished as much by the discovery of new musical works as by the great instances of the medieval repertoire. The numerous artistic collaborations, the abundant discography, the acknowledgment in France and internationally, have made Diabolus in Musica a pillar of today’s medieval music.

The ensemble gives education an important place by carrying out diverse interventions in educational institutions. It also focuses onto sharing its passion during medieval-themed party – “Medieval Happi Houre” - with an always wider audience.
